Track & Trail specialise in organising and leading high-quality training or guided treks  and  expeditions  that  help  participants  build  skills,  confidence  and  resilience  in challenging  outdoor  environments.  Our programmes  focus on careful  planning, safety, and practical learning, ensuring each expedition is supported by our highly experienced leaders, who provide guidance, motivation, and clear communication. and survival skills, Track & Trail emphasises responsibility, risk awareness, and respect for the environment. By combining expert leadership with structured training and meaningful adventure, we create and deliver rewarding experiences that prepare individuals to handle real-world outdoor challenges with confidence and competence. Services are available to private, corporate, academic, and youth organisations.

DofE Accredited Expedition Leaders, Supervisors, and Assessors

Being accredited Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Leaders, Supervisors, and Assessors, Track & Trail staff support and guide young people through their DofE journey whilst ensuring the quality and integrity of the programme In these roles, we help participants set appropriate goals, monitor progress; providing encouragement across the whole spectrum of Volunteering, Physical, Skills, and Expedition sections. 

Leave No Trace

Our leaders are responsible for organising and overseeing activities, and our supervisors offer expert guidance and regular feedback. Assessors play a crucial role in upholding standards, reviewing plans, and ensuring safety. Together, these roles play a vital part in helping young people develop confidence, resilience, and valuable life skills through safe, structured, and rewarding experiences that will last them a lifetime.

We are also qualified by the Mountain Training Association, and the Leave No Trace environmental initiative advocating low-impact enjoyment of the countryside, wilderness and mountain, hill and moorland. Our Instructors hold UK Government Security Vetting, and Police Enhanced Full Disclosure (EDBS), providing for the safe supervision of children, with years of experience in the armed services, and as cadet force adult volunteers. Track & Trail operates under strict safety and safeguarding policies to ensure every participant is protected and supported throughout their experience. All activities are carefully risk assessed, leaders are fully trained and vetted, and clear procedures are in place for supervision, communication, and emergency response. The welfare of participants is always our highest priority, with safeguarding standards followed at every stage of planning and delivery. By maintaining a professional, responsible, and safety-focused approach, Track & Trail provides a secure and trusted environment for all our expedition and trekking activity participants.
